The Rundown: Miles teams with a new hero to hunt down and stop an army of magical monsters.

Fadi Fadlalah is enjoying an evening at home with his family when his grandmother gets a premonition that there is evil on the loose. Evil that only Fadi can face as the hero Amulet. When Spider-Man finds himself investigating a murder in New Jersey, he finds himself facing a creature that matches him in both speed and strength. Amulet comes to help and Miles learns of the ancient curse that Fadi and his family are tasked with stopping.

When another creature takes Miles, Amulet flies off to help and the two discover that there is a bigger plan at work. One that will unleash the creatures of the curse. As the two work together to fight back, they discover that their journeys as heroes are not so different.

The Story: Ahmed crafts a great story in this annual. Their is a great balance between the characters and Miles never comes off as being along for the rise even though the focus is on Amulet and his mission. The action is fantastic and I really enjoyed the world building Ahmed is doing with Amulet and his mission.

The Art: Luca Maresca does some great work with the art in the issue. The characters look great and the action and adventure are visually exciting.
