Miles and Rhino team with Captain America to track down the missing kids.

Miles gets to impress Cap with his investigative skills as he finds a clue in the treads of the truck that sped off with the kids. Cap has the next piece of the puzzle when that clue leads the three of them to an abandoned SHIELD facility in Brooklyn.

After discovering that they were expected, Miles and company are attacked by the super-powered kids guarding the facility and when they quietly take them down, the trio is introduced to the guy in charge, Snatcher. The trio find themselves facing an enemy with the power to take over the minds of children while at the same time destroying the minds of adults. It’s going to be a fight with huge stakes when Cap steps in to take out Snatcher to buy Miles and Rhino time.

Saladin Ahmed crafts a satisfying conclusion to this story and introduces an enemy that seemingly has his origins in the fractured politics of today. The interaction between Miles and Cap is great and their dialogue goes beyond hero worship. Cap remains inspiring, even to someone like Rhino. The pace of the issue flows well and the conclusion is satisfying, but seems a little fast. Ahmed sets up a world for Miles that is interesting and engaging.

Javier Garron’s art is great. It’s beautifully detailed and there are some great action moments throughout.
