In a move that really didn’t surprise anyone, HULU has cancelled the Marvel series Helstrom, based on the Marvel Comics character after one season on the streaming service.

Part of the now defunct Marvel Television division, there was no plan to integrate the series into the MCU or any other Marvel related projects. The series focused on Daimon Helstrom and his sister Ana as they tracked down demons on Earth while also dealing with their legacy as the children of a serial killer and other family drama.

Helstrom — “Viaticum” — Episode 102 — A horrific accident leads Daimon and Gabriella fighting to save a man’s soul, while a dark force attempts to stop them. Meanwhile, Yen’s relationship with his work takes a dark turn towards obsession, and a discovery leads Anna back to St. Teresa’s. Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon) and Daimon Helstrom (Tom Austen), shown. The series never really got any press attention and seemed to be touted as a Marvel series in name only. The series also deviated heavily from the source material and veered more towards shows like Supernatural then the dark side of the Marvel universe. It also failed to establish itself as something different or special in the realm of supernatural dramas.

The ten part drama is still available on HULU.
