Moon Knight is one of the more interesting and unusual heroes in the Marvel pantheon. Created by writer Doug Moench and artist Don Perlin in 1975, Moon Knight debuted in the series Werewolf by Night. Moon Knight tells the story of former Marine and CIA operative Marc Spector. On a mission in Egypt, Spector is betrayed by his employer and left for dead in the tomb of the Egyptian Moon god Khonshu. The god heals his wounds and grants him superpowers that include super strength and the ability to heal his wounds. He’s also a master detective proficient in hand to hand combat.

What makes Moon Knight more interesting is that he has multiple personalities which has led to some strange encounters with other heroes and leads to Marc questioning his own reality.

The announcement of a Ms. Marvel series was a relief to many fans who had been speculating about when and where the character would be introduced in the MCU after the big screen Captain Marvel film debuted. Ms. Marvel aka Kamala Khan was created by  editors Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker, writer G. Willow Wilson, and artists Adrian Alphona and Jamie McKelvie. Khan is a Pakastani-American hero from New Jersey and the first Muslim superhero in the Marvel universe. Her powers include an enhanced healing factor and shapeshifting abilities.

She-Hulk

Created by Stan Lee and John Buscema, attorney Jennifer Walters is the cousin of Avenger Bruce Banner aka The Hulk. After an injury, Jennifer receives an emergency blood transfusion from Bruce in order to save her life. She develops a milder version of Bruce’s condition. She retains her personality and intellect while also having enhanced strength, durability and endurance as well as a regenerative healing factor. A live action She-Hulk movie was in the works in the 90’s, but it fell apart quickly. It will be interesting to see who will be cast as Jennifer in the series.

Disney+ launches this November.
