Warner Brothers is casting additional heroes in their upcoming Titans series from the producers of The Flash, Supergirl and Arrow.

According to reports, Alan Ritchson and Minka Kelly have been cast in the upcoming Titans series as the heroes Hawk and Dove. Hawk and Dove are crime fighting duo Hank Hall and Dawn Granger and members of the Justice League. They were given their powers by the Lords of Chaos and Order and while Hawk is aggressive and tempermental, Dove is more pacifistic and cerebral. In the upcoming series on DC Comics digital service, the pair will also be romantically involved.

Alan Ritchson is known for his work in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle films as the character Rafael. He is also remembered for his role of Thad on the series Blue Mountain State and starred on the recently cancelled Blood Drive. Richtchson does have a history with DC Comics television as well with guest appearances on the series Smallville as Arthur Curry aka Aquaman.

Minka Kelly in known for her work on the series Friday Night Lights, Parenthood and the revival of the series Charlie’s Angels. She played Jackie Kennedy in Lee Daniel’s The Butler.  She can currently be seen on the series The Path as well as making guest appearances on the series Jane the Virgin.

Both Ritchson and Kelly are listed as recurring characters on the series with the option to become series regulars in the second season, but the producers are also exploring the possibility of giving Hawk and Dove their own series down the road.

Written by Goldsman, DC Entertainment’s Johns and Berlanti, Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In the action-adventure series, Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes that includes Starfire (Anna Diop), Raven (Teagan Croft) and others.
