DC and Warner Brothers have cast 13-year-old relative newcomer Teagan Croft as Raven, according to a story in Deadline. Croft is the first cast member confirmed for the series. The actress is known overseas for her role on the Australian drama Home and Away and she had her first starring role opposite in Kellan Lutz in the 2016 sci-fi action film The Osiris Child.

Raven was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez and made her first appearance in October 1980. Raised in the alternate dimension known as Azerath, Raven is the daughter of the demon Trigon. Even though she was raised to control her emotions, her father’s influence on her is a constant struggle that she faces as she tries to do good. Raven possesses the empathic and telekinetic powers as well as astral projection, teleportation and the ability to manipulate darkness.

No additional casting or production news has come out yet, but with the first announcement, the flood gates begin to open and I will bring you any information I find.
