The Rundown: Amazo’s discovery will have ripple effects throughout the world.

Amazo continues to wonder where he is and who is the strange voice that seems to be challenging him. As he attempts to break free, his actions cause devastating changes across the world including switching Superman with his fascist double from a parallel Earth. An Earth Superman discovers is ruled with an iron fist by Vandal Savage.

As Superman fights the forces of Savage and Brainiac, he will discover that there is a secret underground resistance movement that includes some familiar faces. At the same time, the Superman double has decided to conquer a new world and the League gets a much needed assist from Martian Manhunter.

The Story: DeMatteis and Tucker do a great job of expanding the world of the Justice League in this issue. The introduction of the multiverse allows for a vast array of stories to be told and this one is both engaging and entertaining. The dialogue is great and I especially love the narration from Superman and how it reflects his relationship with Lois, his team and Martian Manhunter. I love the return of Martian Manhunter as well and his choices throughout the issue.

The Art: I continue to love the look of this series and this issue specifically. The art is bright, vibrant and a great representation of Bruce Timm’s aesthetic. There is a fluidity to the art and every page feels like its in motion.
