The Rundown: In the final battle against the Upside-Down Man, the villain will learn a lesson about the cost of magic and everyone will pay a price.

Zatanna has merged with the Upside Down Man and a new battle begins. This time, the creature feels he has the upper hand and shows the magician just how powerful he can be. That choice will come back to bite him. With the battle still raging outside of her body, the Upside-Down Man will discover that Zatanna is a lot stronger than she seems and her strength will teach the creature a valuable lesson.

In the aftermath of the battle, friends are lost, new bonds are made and Zatanna receives a gift from her father. One that will bring about the return of an old friend. As the team deals with both their losses and their triumphs, the threats from the dark side of the world continue to grow.

The Story: Ram V brings this story to a satisfactory and entertaining conclusion. The characters and the plot are incredibly engaging and this issue solidifies what makes these characters unique and well suited as a team. There are some great moments throughout the story and the mystery teased at the end of the issue makes me curious to see what happens next along with the new dynamics for the characters.

The Art: Amancay Nehuelpan delivers some amazing imagery throughout this issue. The characters look amazing and the scenes between Zatanna and the Upside-Down Man are brilliantly done. A wonderfully done issue from start to finish.
