The Rundown: Tony Stark continues to struggle with his personal demons while a hidden threat prepares to make his presence known.

Tony continues to question everything about who he is, what he’s doing and why he limits his power in the face of people who seem ungrateful and almost resentful of his help. As his existential crisis continues, he decides to leave the city and check on one of his investments. Fortunately for him, he isn’t going alone.

With Hellcat by his side, the two travel Oklahoma to check on an experiment that Tony is funding involving lightning. Along the way, Tony discovers more about Patsy’s life, her death and what her rebirth means for her future. As he ponders his own journey, Iron Man arrives to discover that the scientist whose experiments he has been funding is working on something designed to give him powers beyond measure and he is willing to kill Iron Man to achieve his goal.

The Story: Cantwell takes the time in this issue to examine Tony Stark’s angst in an interesting way. I like the fact that Tony is questioning more things about himself and his personal issues are sliding into every aspect of his professional and personal life. The story picks up a lot when Hellcat returns to it and their back and forth is interesting as well. The story is well done and I am interested in seeing where it goes next.

The Art: Cafu delivers some impressive visuals in this issue. All of the imagery from the characters to the backgrounds are well done and engaging.
