The Rundown: Rennie’s mission to save Sofie will reveal what she really is.

The dean of the school has been working with a human trafficking ring and Rennie is determined to make them all pay for taking her friend Sofie. As the group waits for her arrival, she obliges and emerges to give them a warning that they foolishly refuse to take seriously.
In the aftermath of the resulting bloodbath, Sofie sees everything that Rennie can do and the fashion school serial killer gets an unexpected response from her first and only friend. As the two return to Rennie’s apartment, they decide to start planning a future together.
The Story: Wagner brings this story to a fast paced, fun and brutal conclusion that was both entertaining and satisfying. I love the tone of this story and how all of the previous character moments and motivations culminate in Rennie’s actions both in the warehouse and with Sofie. I also really enjoyed the progression of Rennie and Sofie’s relationship and how it resolves in the end of the issue. It would be interesting to see this world get revisited again.
The Art: Hillyard delivers stunning imagery throughout the issue. I love the beauty of the brutality on every page.
