The Rundown: Bruce confronts himself while the dark entity that started Hulk’s journey returns.

Bruce thinks back to the moment he started his plan to purge the world of the Hulk. A moment of violence and rage. When he awakens, he lashes out at the man who knocked him out, himself. After calming down the Hulk’s rage, Banner tells his other what happened to him. At the same time, the Hulk within him rages. As they talk, Bruce learns that the other Banner had a similar experiment, but it turned into something a lot worse than the Hulk.

He reveals that the event that caused him to invariably bring Hulk to his doorstep had another effect on people across the country. One that he has been trying to study and reverse. After discovering the dirty little secret that Banner is hiding and how Hulk was brought to him, Bruce will discover the familiar face behind everything.

The Story: Cates delivers an entertaining story in this issue. While it doesn’t have the same intensity as the previous two issues, the story strikes the right notes thematically and I like seeing glimpses of another antagonist that could make the story more interesting as it develops.

The Art: Ottley delivers some fantastic art in the issue. The visual style is beautiful and I wish there was more action to showcase it.
