The Rundown: Meg continues to deal with her personal trauma as she trains to fight eternal threats.

Meg thinks back to her time with the Nuclear Bastards and the experience gets dark as her memory switches to what happened to her friends. A memory that causes her to unleash her powers. In the aftermath, Rip is there to help her cope with that happened and how it is affecting them both. She discusses with her superior the changes that she is going through and how she is connected to the ghosts they want her to control.

Rip is angry that he and Meg are being used as tools, but things change when he is offered the chance to finally see what has been kept from them. After being introduced to the team in charge, Rip returns to Meg with a possible solution to her problem. Unfortunately, the ghosts attached to her give her an ominous message.

The Story: Watters begins a new arc with these characters and the story takes some unexpected and interesting turns throughout. Centering the plot on Meg and Rip is a great idea and I like the fact that the world of the story is expanding in new and different directions. The dialogue is great and really engages the reader with these characters and their circumstances. I like the subversive elements of the plot and cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Wijngaard does some great work with both the characters and the action in this issue. There are some awesome horror moments in the beginning of the story and I was really impressed with the detailed backgrounds and use of shadow.
