The Rundown: The Nuclear Bastard is hunting for Ami and Buzz and the former members of the Home Sick Pilots need to face some harsh reality.

Ami and Buzz are hiding out after being on television and Ami realizes that the brief moment they had at the concert was what she has been missing about her life. As Buzz tries to talk to her, she tells him she doesn’t want to go back over what they just survived. Unfortunately, neither of them knows that the Nuclear Bastard is headed straight for them with revenge on its mind. When the pair get identified, they find themselves surrounded by police. At the same time, the Nuclear Bastard makes a pit stop.

Ami and Buzz manage to escape, but their escape will lead them back to the sea. After talking to Buzz, Ami makes a decision. A decision that will require her to call the inhabitants of the James house. As Trish goes after Meg and the Nuclear Bastard, Rip finally catches up with Ami and Buzz. What could have been a reunion of old friends becomes dark quickly.

The Story: Watters takes the characters on an emotional journey in this issue. The story is solid, heartfelt and introspective in ways that are endearing and engaging to the reader. The interpersonal relationships continue to be a draw for me as a reader and seeing Ami come to a realization about her life and connection to the house was moving especially with the great dialogue. There is great tension throughout the story and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Wijngaard delivers some spectacular imagery throughout the issue. There is great action and the art truly captures the tension, but the character moments are a real stand out.
