Isadora’s creepy home life leads her to the discovery of a lifetime.

Isadora continues to live her ideal life with her husband Aaron. An ideal life she doesn’t question even when it includes him hiding in his office or one of the creepiest sexual encounters I’ve ever witnessed. As she gets herself together and works around the house, a scratching noise from inside the walls prompts her to tell her husband to call an exterminator. After he agrees to do so, he leaves again.

Isadora meets with her friends, who seem to have similar experiences with their husbands, but Isadora is the only one who is starting to see that something is wrong. When Aaron returns that evening, Isa finds that she can’t sleep and as she hunts through the house for what she thinks are mice behind the walls, she discovers the biggest secret that Aaron has been hiding.

There is such a great buildup to the final reveal in this issue that saying anymore about the plot would ruin it.  Ben Blacker has brilliantly paced this issue to ramp up the tension and suspense while giving the reader insight into just how disturbing Aaron is and how creepy it is for Isa to be in that home. One of the best parts of this issue is that the reveal wasn’t dragged out over the course of five issues. Now we get to see the repercussions of what Aaron and his group have done and I can’t wait to see how it plays out.

The art is fantastic. There are some great panels that depict Isadora’s conflicting emotions and curiosity as well as shots that amplify how creepy and dangerous Aaron is as a character.
