The killer has been revealed, the crime has been displayed and the confession has been made.

The perpetrator of the Sanctuary massacre has finally decided that it is time to confess to his crimes and there are several of them.

HIC-8-4

As the residents of Sanctuary deal with their loss and their trauma, there is one among them who still feels alone. Despite everyone’s words of encouragement and understanding, he still feels like no one understands his pain. Despite everyone telling him they understand, he decides to investigate Sanctuary itself and locate all the missing data spread throughout the web.

When he finally sees the stories similar to his own, it doesn’t fill him with hope. It breaks him. In one desperate moment of wanting to actually be alone, the heroes that come to his aid become his victims when he loses control. With the clock ticking, he works to move the bodies and convince both Harley Quinn and Booster Gold that they saw the other one commit the crime. As he sits down to his final confession, the killer notes his experience in the thing that has kept everyone guessing.

Everything about this issue is shocking from beginning to end. Tom King just took readers on an emotional roller coaster as everything is laid out and the reader is really only allowed to process what they’ve read. It’s a masterful move from the writer to break everything down from the point of view of the killer and still give the reader a sense of sadness for the killer himself. It’s going to be interesting to see where this goes next, what its repercussions are and what the inevitable confrontation between the killer and his mentor will look like.

The art by Mitch Gerards and Travis Moore is hauntingly beautiful.  There is so much emotion and pain in all the characters and that is given vivid reality through the art.

So it’s okay for Wally to go through other’s most personal confessions and then leak them to the press??? The Sanctuary doesn’t record things but they do, but erase them right away and somehow Wally has the ability that he never had to piece them back together inside the computer? There were never really any real clues to the mystery and Wally framed two people because? Wally sends his own confession to Lois with the other videos but nobody looked at the thumb drive? Batman and Flash couldn’t figure out how the people died even though it’s something Barry would recognize right away? A book that was supposed to show healing and mental health issues just has a character “lose it” and kill everyone. Two people get taken to different areas at superspeed, but never feel anything touching them or moving super fast?

Nothing is shocking since we are just told everything we saw before was a fake out and are given a checklist of what went on.

That’s your response? This review says nothing and you have only “k”? Convinced me to not return as you have no answers or real thought other then “then this happens, and that that happens”. Think about it and answer the persons questions if issue was so great to you.

I acknowledged the opinion. You want a debate, find a friend. I like what I like for the reasons I like it. Thanks for your response.
