The Rundown: Morales’ investigation into the Ghostbusters continues and her next interview will fill in the gaps of an early mission and its aftermath.

Rebecca Morales goes back even further in her research by interviewing people connected to the Ghostbusters back at the university. Her interviews will lead her to a more in depth discussion with Ray about their equipment and how three original three members met.

After learning more about their past, she presses Ray on the event that inspired them to become a team, the New York Library ghost Eleanor Twitty. Morales wants to know what happened to the ghost that inspired them to become a team and the rest of the issue is dedicated to the untold story of what happened when the newly minted Ghostbusters returned to the library.

The Story: Erik Burnham weaves an entertaining story that fills in some of the blanks of the Ghostbusters story. There are some great call backs to the events of the first film and a funny hint at the sequel, but beyond that, there really isn’t much there. Taking the team back to hunt Twitty again is a cute side story, but nothing really happens. Having the administrator say that things are getting worse is one thing, it would have been a lot more entertaining to have seen the escalation in the ghost’s behavior to justify bringing the Ghostbusters back in to stop her. I would have liked to see more of Ray and his personality as well. The story was from his point of view, but I never really got much of the heart of the character in the pages.

The Art: Dan Schoening makes the issue worth reading for the beautiful interior art. The art deftly captures the characters and their physicality while also making the action visually interesting.
