The Rundown: The cats find themselves learning the dark truth about the survivors living in Pet City.

The cats find themselves learning the hard way about the harsh rules set out by the denizens of Pet City. Lord discovers more as he deals with the difficulty of being surrounded by food, but not being allowed to eat any of it. At the same time, Elsie gets closer to Lucky before leaving her and returning to Gigi. Meanwhile, the kittens learn what happened to the fish and birds that were left in the store before the story is interrupted by another discovery.
Lord’s punishment is extended for asking too many questions and Lucky decides to step in. When Gigi discovers what Lucky and Elsie have been doing, she violently attacks Elsie at the exact moment Lord discovers exactly what the other cats have been eating and why they might be next on the menu.
The Story: Fleecs crafts a dark and disturbing story in this issue. The buildup for the massive reveal in this issue is brilliantly done to play on the suspicion and paranoia of the characters. There is great drama between the characters as well and the breakdown of the group is great for the story. The final reveal was a twisted discovery that I suspected, but Fleecs brilliantly executed to make me excited to see what happens next.
The Art: Forstner and Rodriguez deliver beautifully detailed and visually disturbing art throughout the issue. A wonderfully dark and engaging visual story.
