Ahab has set loose his latest hound and it’s Old Man Logan. As they fight to protect young Henry, they find out that Ahab used their need to help mutants as a means of bringing in the means of their potential destruction. The rest of the original X-Men have been separated to different teams with Scott wanting to avenge the death of Bloodstorm and Jean traveling with the remnants of X-Force and their desire to take out young Cable for murdering his future self.

The mutants end up having to battle their own as Nightcrawler and Shatterstar also become unwitting hounds and try to kill Jean and Scott. With young Cable making his move to capture Beast, Ahab withdraws to work on his plan as an angry young Jean decides to join up with X-Force on their revenge mission and go after young Cable.

For a limited series, Brisson is doing a great job with the pacing of this issue. Even though there are some plot details that haven’t been revealed yet, there is enough action and mystery left in this story to keep me interested in the next issue. I really like the dialogue and how the characters are reacting in this issue and Ahab is elevated slightly to a more credible overall threat than he usually is.

The art is great in this issue and I love both the style of it as well as the action beats utilized in the issue. I really liked how the characters were rendered and there are some great camera angles in the panels.
