The Rundown: The killers move deeper into the town as the game begins and the people in power make moves behind the scenes.

The first killer in the competition is down and his patron is livid that he is out of the competition. At the same time, a local employee of the gas station finds himself face to face with another killer who is looking for tools to begin his mission. Using what he has, he takes out a civilian and finds himself begin confronted by another competitor who is looking for more than just a win.

An EMT and her partner find the body of the killer and a mystery nurse offers to help. Deeper into the town, the youngest killer finds himself teaming up with a group going trick or treating. As the power players continue to watch events unfold, one of the patrons discovers that her colleagues are plotting against her.

The Story: Walsh and Tynion IV craft another interesting story in this issue that takes the momentum from the first issue and carries it over while ramping up the suspense and tension in the follow up. The story is impressive, the characters are interesting and the mystery behind the events continues to keep my attention. As much as I am enjoying the ultra-violence throughout the story, it’s the human conspiracy at the heart of it and the political jockeying that are keeping me engaged.

The Art: Ignazzi and Walsh craft some beautifully detailed and visually entertaining art throughout the issue.
