When Cate and Kate head down to the alley outside their place to see what happened to the fallen angels, they come upon an angry young man and another in a devil costume.

When Kate tries to stop the devil, she’s blinded by a bright light and he makes his escape. After confronting the young man and determining that he got taken in by someone claiming to be a demon, the ladies dismiss him with a card offering their help when he eventually makes the same stupid mistake to an actual demon.

It doesn’t take long for the guy to screw things up, especially when Cate’s mother shows up carting around her own demon to tempt him. When the sisters discover the “devil” is a fallen angel trying to get back home, things become more complicated as a new, dark force has entered Hell and is waiting for someone to open a door to it.

Ian Boothby continues to craft a fun and funny series with Exorsisters and this issue is no exception. The dialogue is witty and smart. There are some great character moments throughout and there is enough mystery being woven into this issue and the series to keep the reader interested and ready to come back for more.

Gisele Lagace’s art is such a great match to this story and these characters. All of the pages perfectly complement the pace, style, humor and tone of the story Boothby is telling.
