The Rundown: Apocalypse is resurrected and begins a new plan to end the threat of Morgan and he will need Betsy to fight her brother to make it happen.
Apocalypse is resurrected on Krakoa after his fatal encounter with Rogue and he immediately enlists the formally evil Braddock sibling Jamie for the next part of his plan. A plan he believes will give everyone what they want, especially Betsy.
As the battle rages between Excalibur and Morgan’s forces, Apocalypse arrives with a way to end the conflict once and for all; a battle to the death between Elizabeth and her brother Brian. With no other alternative, the siblings begin an epic battle for control, but Apocalypse always has something up his sleeves.
The Story: This was an entertaining issue that had some great character moments for both Apocalypse and Betsy Braddock. Not only was the plot well done, but the final reveal was both inspiring and clever. Tini Howard gives the story some real emotional weight with moments between Elizabeth and Brian as well as Rogue and Gambit that are revelatory and engaging.
The Art: Marcus To delivers some beautiful visuals in this issue. From the characters to the action, everything is filled with detail and there are some breathtaking moments in the action.
