The Rundown: The threat of Thanos still looms. The murder investigation continues and Kingo’s past with Druig is revealed.

The threat of Thanos continues and Sersei decides to seek help from the heroes of Earth, namely Tony Stark. At the same time, the internal investigation continues with Thena and Kingo as they confront Druig. With the breakdown of the machine and the murder of Zuras, a new Prime Eternal must be chosen and Druig is the prime suspect in Zuras’ death. As the three discuss his motives, the shared past he has with Kingo is revealed.

At the same time, Ikaris continues his vigil over the young boy he has sworn to protect. A vigil that will require the additional help of Sprite on the ground. As Druig confronts his accusers, Thanos arrives and attacks. The battle reveals Thanos using a trick that only their enemies use and a new suspect in the murder is revealed, but Druig is not completely innocent.

The Story: Gillen crafts an interesting story filled with mystery, deceit and a grand scale. While many of the elements work, the overall story jumps to too many places to feel cohesive. The bigger story got lost up until the end of the issue and the side stories took away from the plot. It was a good story, but it got bogged down by the weight of its ideas.

The Art: Ribic delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The panels are filled with great details and style.
