The Rundown: A bomber pilot finds his mission more dangerous when he is shot down behind enemy lines.

A bomber team are flying into enemy territory for a mission on board their plane and their time in the skies gives them moments to contemplate their mission, the war and the enemy. After a passionate discussion and debate, the mission brings them into enemy territory and they prepare to drop their payloads and leave. Unfortunately, the enemy guns are proving too much for their fighter escorts.
As the crew attempts to complete their mission, they miss the main target and end up hitting a nearby civilian area. When they are overwhelmed by enemy forces, the pilot is forced to abandon ship and must find a way to survive behind enemy lines in a city he just finished bombing.
The Story: Remender gives a classic war story some interesting flair with this first issue. I love the buildup throughout the issue and how the characters communicate with each other. There are great moments of suspense and tension throughout the story and that tension beautifully rises when the pilot finds himself running for his life. I look forward to seeing what happens in the next issue.
The Art: Acuna delivers stunning and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. I love the action and how it perfectly captures the tension of the story.
