The Rundown: Dudley faces off against forces he doesn’t understand and does something desperate to escape.

Dudley and Daedalus face off against Perdix who offers the young man a cure for his father if he joins him and gives him the watch. Daedalus reveals he is more than just a talking dog and Dudley finds himself inside an exotic armory with a weapon that turns the tide of the battle.

After escaping from Perdix, the pair find Dudley’s friend Ohno and discover that he is a Promethean in disguise. As Dudley and the Promethean battle, Dudley decides to use the watch to open a portal. Unfortunately, his actions trap he and Daedalus in a place they may never escape.

The Story: Snyder delivers thrilling action and adventure throughout the issue. The interpersonal conflicts along Dudley’s internal ones continue to be compelling and engaging to the reader. I love the faster pace of this issue and the stakes that it is raising throughout the story. A consistently fun and thrilling adventure with big, interesting ideas.

The Art: Igle delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visuals beautifully capture the tone and intensity of the story and its characters.
