Recently we reported on news that FXX would be moving forward with an animated adult Deadpool series for the network. Well, it looks like there have been some changes and they aren’t good.

According to multiple stories in The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, FXX will not be going forward with the Deadpool animated series, specifically the version that was being spearheaded by writer/actor Donald Glover. The network released a statement Saturday regarding the news of the series.

“Due to creative differences, FX, Donald Glover, Stephen Glover and Marvel Television have agreed to part ways on Marvel’s Deadpool animated series,” the network said in a statement Saturday. “FX will no longer be involved with the project. FX and Marvel have an ongoing relationship through our partnership on Legion, which will continue.”

The series received a 10 episode straight to series order from the network last year and was projected to premiere this year on the FXX network. No word on whether Marvel Television will pursue another network for the series or if they will continue to work with Glover on the project.
