Diamondback is preparing for the end as the ship the team has been traveling in tears apart around them. A save from Deadpool manages to keep her in the ship and Tony Stark tries to reprogram his drones to help the falling ship. After a harrowing, edge of your seat series of circumstances, the team finally crashes and all on board are able to walk away.

Natasha decides to talk to Tony directly and after a few moments, he agrees to give Domino and her team the lead on this mission and all the resources they need. Domino is impressed with Nat’s ability to get what she needs from Stark and decides that it’s time for everyone to get on the page or leave. It’s a fun moment as Neena does her best to cut through everyone’s bull and get them on board.

She’s going to need that focus when they continue their mission and come across a mutant’s worst nightmare, Sentinels.

This issue is another fast paced and fun adventure for Domino and company. Gail Simone does an amazing job of instilling this story with humor, heart and heroics. The characters are written with great, natural chemistry and the seriousness of the situation doesn’t take a back burner to the character stories. It enhances them. Simone has tapped into something special with these characters and I can’t wait to see where she takes them next.

The art by David Baldeon and Michael Shelfer always delivers beautiful details. The styles of both artists are complimentary and every page has some great detail either in the action or the characters that catches the eye.
