After the battle against Topaz, Team Domino is trying to get back to business. Running a casino boat isn’t easy or cheap and the potential client that just came aboard might be the key to keeping them afloat literally and figuratively. A mysterious envoy from Wakanda is willing to pay Domino four times their fee to travel to Norway and pick up a package without opening it.

Knowing that there will no doubt be danger involved and that they’re walking into a trap, the ladies jump at the opportunity and find themselves deep in the forest fighting a group of bridal party vampires (Don’t steal that title. I’m using it for my horror movie script that I just started writing). When they actually open the package they were sent to retrieve, not only do they find a familiar face, but they paint an even bigger target on their backs.

This issue is relentlessly fun with some amazingly fun and quick dialogue from Gail Simone. These characters work really well together and the fact that the closeness of their relationships are reflected in the dialogue. As heavy as elements of the previous arc were, this issue brings everything back to the team dynamic that makes the reader like these characters. There is an interesting mystery forming in this issue and I really want to see where it goes and who ends up jumping on for the ride.

David Baldeon’s art is absolutely gorgeous in this issue. Not only are the characters drawn well, but the attention to detail in the facial expressions is some of the best I have ever seen in comics. Everything he draws is really expressive and his style marries so well with these characters and the action in this issue. I love the way the action is composed in these panels and the art matches the tone of this issue pitch perfectly.
