Strange is having nightmares about the awesome responsibility he has now that he is both the Sorcerer Supreme as well as having the use of his hands back. The return of the use of his hands is both a blessing and a burden as he wants to get back into surgery, but is behind on advances in medical technology. There’s only one person he can turn to for tech support, Kanna.

After conjuring her to the Sanctum, Stephen finds himself being dragged into a battle across the stars with a being searching for an unknown universe’s version of the Ancient One.

The Story: Mark Waid is transitioning Doctor Strange into a new normal and I am into how the story is changing. I enjoyed having Kanna back in the fold and that Strange can accept the role he played in why they aren’t friends anymore. This issue was fun with some great dialogue and fun pacing. The story takes some interesting and fun turns and I can’t wait to see where this story goes next with the new changes to Stephen Strange’s circumstances.

The Art: Javier Pina delivers some beautiful art in this issue with great visual moments with the depiction of magic. The action is fantastic and the art perfectly complements the tone of the story.
