The Rundown: Sam finds himself facing the reality of the darkness within Devil Land.

Sam and his sister are featured in a flashback to the early and successful days of the park when their mother decides to leave her sick bed and take them out for the day to enjoy Devil Land. When she gets sick during a talk with them, their father arrives to shut down the fun.

In the present, Sam and Summer find themselves dodging a killer custodian who has a history with the park and the Dante family. A history that will lead to some disturbing revelations about the park itself.

The Story: Williamson does a great job of thrilling the reader with great horror and action while also crafting an engaging mystery that keeps me entertained. As horrifying as the preset story continues to be, the flashback moments are equally dark and disturbing and a little tragic in this issue. I like the continuing tension between brother and sister and can’t wait to see it explored more. The ending promises things are going to get darker and more intense and I look forward to seeing how dark things get.

The Art: Bressan delivers some beautiful art throughout the issue. The visual contrast between the flashback and the present story is brilliant and I love how the art captures the thrills of the action in the story.
