The Rundown: Vox Machina take on a dragon and discover a dark secret at the heart of the kingdom.

Vox Machina discovers that General Krieg, member of the council, is secretly the dragon Brimscythe and he has the team pinned down in the middle of his horde. The team needs to find a way to work together to find a way to bring the dragon down once and for all. After taking the dragon down, the team must race to escape his horde while it crumbles around them.
Back in the city, Vox Machina discovers Allura and tell her the truth about Krieg. She reveals that the dark forces surrounding the sovereign are getting stronger and devises a way to sneak them into the castle where they are confronted by the possessed family of Uriel as well as a demon who seeks their help and does not take kindly to being rejected.
The Story: Houser crafts a thrilling, entertaining and fun adventure in this issue. There’s great action and humor as well as moments where the team work together that I thoroughly enjoyed. I like the buildup of suspense when Vox Machina breaks into the castle and how that suspense is utilized to deliver a cliffhanger ending that makes reading the next issue a priority.
The Art: Hayes delivers beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The visual style perfect for both the character moments as well as the blistering action.
