Deron GenerallyAcademy Award winning writer Aaron Sorkin is making his directorial debut with the upcoming film Molly’s Game.
The film, adapted from the best-selling biography Molly’s Game: From Hollywood’s Elite to Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker sports an impressive cast including two-time Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain, Golden Globe winner Idris Elba and Academy Award winner Kevin Costner.
In the film, Chastain plays Molly Bloom, former professional skier who is working as a waitress in New York when her boss tells her that he needs her to run his weekly poker game. When she becomes successful, she branches out and starts her own game filled with actors, Wall Street elites and eventually the Russian mob. When her home is raided in the middle of the night by the FBI, Molly hires an attorney played by Idris Elba to help her, but she might be in too deep.
Molly’s Game opens in theaters November 22, 2017.
