The Rundown: Sara May confronts the biggest secret of the school as her lessons come to an abrupt end.

Sara May wonders why her roommate is suddenly afraid of her. As she continues her lessons, her power continues to grow. Unfortunately, the headmaster is growing impatient as Miss Brook fights to protect her.

When Brook is confronted by the Headmaster, he is attacked and he immediately goes after Sara May. When Sara May discovers the power behind the school, she finds herself in the fight of her life as unseen forces move behind the scenes with plans of their own.

The Story: Mignola and Slatter craft an entertaining conclusion to this story. I love being immersed in the world of these characters, but the story felt a little rushed towards the end. I think everything that had been building throughout the plot required a little more story to be truly satisfying with its resolution. I do like that Sara May will have other adventures and I look forward to those. I just wish this one didn’t end so abruptly.

The Art: Burzo delivers some great art throughout the issue. The character designs are great and the lead up to the final confrontation was visually stunning.
