The Rundown: The Planeteers go one a rescue mission, but one of them will unleash a dangerous new threat.

With Plunder’s influence and power growing, Gi wakes from a destructive nightmare in a safe house with the other Planeteers except for Wheeler. Their in-fighting drives Ma’Ti to go out on his own to find some perspective while the rest of the team find the location where Gaia is being held by Plunder and Blight.

Wheeler has gone to Plunder and decides to hand over his ring to him. Plunder creates something dark to bring to Gaia as he orders Wheeler’s death. Ma’Ti goes to help Wheeler as the rest of the Planeteers try to rescue Gaia before they encounter Plunder’s new form, Captain Pollution.

The Story: Pepose delivers a stunning, action packed and entertaining story in this issue. The issue is filled with great moments of tension between the characters and I love seeing the conflicts both internal and external play out in the backdrop of Plunder’s plans unfolding. Things are definitely coming to a head and the issue ends on an insane cliffhanger that has me excited to see what happens next.

The Art: Casallos delivers stunning art throughout the issue. The visuals are inventive, stylish and beautifully detailed both in the character designs and the action.
