The Rundown: Steve and his team discover a new weapon being used against them as AIM takes Manhattan.

After waking up in the middle of a field in Kansas, Steve Rogers scrambles to find the rest of the members of his team by calling in some off the grid help. After getting everyone together, Steve finds himself in an awkward position when he has to call in help from Emma Frost to determine what happened to all of them and why they are missing time. An investigation that will lead to a new, dangerous foe.

At the same time, AIM has taken over Manhattan and no one is allowed to enter. Steve’s new friends in the city decide to band together to fight back as Steve decides that he needs a new tactic to retake the city.

The Story: Intense, fast paced and engaging, Lanzing and Kelly deliver a great story in this issue. I love the intrigue of the plot as well as the inclusion of Frost to the mix. There is some great tension in the story with Peggy’s anger and the others discovering exactly what happened to them while they were missing. There is a great mystery in this issue and I cannot wait to see where it goes next.

The Art: Carnero delivers impressive visuals throughout the issue. The story is character focused and the art reflects the range of emotions of the characters while also delivering some visual thrills as well.
