The Rundown: Slade and Wysta travel the perils of the yard to reach possible answers.

Slade has been kidnapped by Wysta in order to bring him to her order. Their travels brings them to examples of factions breaking the uneasy truce between the bug colonies and Slade learns more about the world he finds himself in as Wysta learns more about Slade and his love for his family, especially his brother who has become a target for the bugs.

As they continue to travel, Slade learns more about Wysta’s past and the dangerous world they are in and how the spiders may hold answers to what happened to his father. Answers he will seek out even after Wysta tells him the truth about why she is taking him to her people.

The Story: Aaron continues to craft a thrilling story while also creating a unique and compelling world in this series. I love how the mystery continues to be seeded throughout the story both with Slade’s interactions, but also with the narration. The story has fantastic moments of suspense and thrills, but also allows for emotional connections. I find myself immersed in this story and look forward to seeing where it goes next.

The Art: Asrar crafts beautifully detailed and visually thrilling art throughout the issue and every page has something new and interesting to admire and experience.
