After it was reported that Fox would take a minority stake in comic book company Boom! Studios, there was a lot of speculation about which property might the studio option for the big or small screen.

According to Deadline, Fox has given a script commitment to a potential television series based on the Boom! Studios graphic novel Snow Blind from Vaun Wilmott and artist Ollie Masters. Wilmott is the creator/showrunner for the series Dominion that ran for two years on SyFy as well as executive producer on Prison Break for Fox. He will serve as Executive Producer of the series along with Masters and Tyler Jenkins (Grass Kings).

Snow Blind tells the story of small town Alaska Sheriff Billy Bowden. After something he does goes viral, he has to confront both the small town friends he’s made and his family about the fact that they are in the Witness Protection Program. All while dealing with a threat from his past and an army of FBI agents in pursuit.

This isn’t the first property from Boom! Studios in development from Fox and won’t be the last. With the production currently in the script stage, we shall have to wait to see if a series commitment is made.
