The Rundown: Two soldiers leave a warzone to return home where they face more danger.

Hannibal and Ronaldo have finished their time in the military and have returned to Dakota, but they find things are different than when they left. For one thing, Hannibal has made some spiritual changes that threaten to alienate him from one of his friends as Ronaldo decides to separate and go hit up a favorite spot of his for food.

As Ronaldo learns about the uptick in superheroes in Dakota, a powered criminal is making his presence known in the community. A presence that will reveal that there is more going on in the city than Ronaldo realizes.

The Story: Thorne crafts an entertaining first issue filled with great action and characters. The plot is engaging and the conflict draws in the reader. The story has a great pace and there are some great surprises to be found. I was impressed with the characters and how they are being developed.

The Art: ChrisCross delivers some dynamic and beautifully detailed art throughout the issue. The action was vibrant and visually exciting throughout.
