One of the latest records that the film has broken is pretty significant. Black Panther is now the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to stay at number 1 at the box office in its fourth week of release. The film is now the second highest grossing superhero release of all time and is now the seventh largest domestic release of all-time.

A sequel was already announced by Kevin Feige, but the $1 billion taken in by Black Panther guarantees more to come from the world of Wakanda.
