He infiltrates the ship and discovers that the shipment of Vibranium that they are looking for is aboard. He informs Nakia of what he’s found, but before he leaves the ship, he discovers that there is another type of cargo being transported, slaves.

His discovery causes problems with Nakia and M’Baku as T’Challa must confront what is most important. Will he leave the slaves to their fate in order to secure the vibranium? Will he liberate the stolen slaves? A run in with a slave and his son will force T’Challa to make a choice. A choice that could put everything the rebellion has been building towards in jeopardy.

One of the factors that has made this saga wo interesting is the idea that the rebels are on a mission to free themselves and everyone else. It’s great that Coates decides to bring that choice to the forefront in this issue and give T’Challa some moral and ethical dilemmas in the process. Did T’Challa ultimately make the right decision? Or has he chosen a short term victory without thinking about the long term consequences? Coates leaves the answer ambiguous with the cliffhanger ending and it’s a good move. The exchange between T’Challa and Nakia serves to bring the moral questions to the forefront and allows the reader to determine for themselves if the choice was the right one.

Kev Walker’s art is amazing. The characters are given great depth of emotion on their faces and the issue has some impressive visual details throughout, especially in the backgrounds.
