For lovers of classic television science fiction the ability to purchase items from the series that they grew up with is a rare treat. Well, this month another opportunity arises to feed into your fandom with an auction that showcases items from classic sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rodgers in the 25th Century.

The Cannavo collection features classic ship models from the series. All of the items were seen on-screen, many being the only models built. Many of the models were designed and built by special effects luminaries like Ralph McQuarrie, the production designer behind Star Wars, John Dykstra, effects supervisor for Star Wars and Star Trek: The Motion Picture and others.

The collection features some really interesting pieces including the Galactica herself. Other items in the collection include a Cylon Basestar, Colonial Vipers, Buck Rodgers Thunder Fighter and the Hawk Fighter. The entire collection is valued at around $2 million.

The collection will be available for auction at Profiles in History on June 28, 2017.
