The Rundown: Clayface and Two-Face execute the next part of their plan and no one in Gotham is safe.

Two-Face has teamed with Clayface for a bold plan that not only requires kidnapping some of the city’s most powerful politicians, but also some of its underworld leaders as well. At the same time, Batman and Robin are called for a meeting with Gordon, but Batman immediately realizes something is wrong when the two are ambushed by cops that all turn out to be Clayface experiments. The two barely escape the ambush and are presumed dead as they return to the cave and discover part of the scope of the plan.

Things get more intense when they return home and the social worker arrives at the manor to not only remove Dick from the home, but to inform Bruce that he is being indicted for stock fraud as she stands before him flanked by police.

The Story: I love how Waid explores the early adventures of the dynamic duo in this series and this issue has some great moments alongside amazing rising tension as Batman and Robin are on the run. I also love how the drama builds throughout the issue until it takes a brilliant personal turn for the pair towards the end of the issue. I loved the cliffhanger and cannot wait to see what happens next.

The Art: Samnee delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how it reminds me of some of my favorite classic Batman stories.
