The Rundown: The Avengers must deal with the aftermath of Knull’s invasion of Earth while also preparing for threats right beneath the surface.

With the threat of Knull ended, the Avengers don’t have time to relax. Even as they return to Avengers Mountain, the team continues to train and process what they’ve recently been through. As the rest of the team finds ways to deal, Robbie Reyes continues to question his place on the team. Black Panther has his own issues to deal with. Not only is his scheduled packed, but a phone call will change everything he had planned.

Dracula is holding court and appealing to the nations of the world for a nation of Vampires. An appeal that will use the vampires recent asistance against Knull and Blade’s actions as evidence. With the Vampire Nation getting an official recognition from the UN, Black Panther has a plan that will require Blade’s unique set of skills.

The Story: Aaron gives the team a moment to regroup and those moments are spent expanding and exploring the characters. Centering part of the story on Reyes is a great idea and allows for a different perspective on Echo’s new role as the Phoenix. The moments between the two characters are well done. The rest of the story and its focus on the Vampire Nation, T’Challa and Blade are brilliantly done. I was impressed with the end of the issue and what it means for the character going forward.

The Art: Maresca delivers some great visuals throughout the issue. The details throughout the panels are beautiful and each character is given some great imagery to accompany their moments. I really loved the ending imagery.
