Deron GenerallyAURA ENTERTAINMENT, the new U.S.-based film distribution outfit committed to smart, audience-first releases, has acquired TRAP HOUSE—the high-octane action movie starring Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy Franchise)—as the launch title in its debut slate. The film will hit U.S. theaters on November 14.
Directed by Michael Dowse (Stuber) and written by Gary Scott Thompson (The Fast and Furious Franchise) and Tom O’Connor (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), TRAP HOUSEis a kinetic thrill ride centered on a team of elite DEA agents whose rebellious teenage children use their parents’ own tactics—surveillance, infiltration, and non-lethal weapons—to rob a ruthless drug cartel.
Joining Bautista is a knockout ensemble cast including Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water, Scream VI), Sophia Lillis (It, Dungeons & Dragons), Tony Dalton (Better Call Saul), Whitney Peak (Gossip Girl, Hocus Pocus 2), Kate Del Castillo (Cleaning Lady), Zaire Adams (FreeRidge), and Bobby Cannavale (The Irish Man, Ant-Man).
The filmis produced by Marc Goldberg and Sarah Gabriel (Signature Films), Michael Pruss and Rebecca Feuer (Scott Free Productions), Dave Bautista and Jonathan Meisner (Dogbone Entertainment), Todd Lundbolm (828 Productions), and Christian Mercuri (Capstone Studios). R. Wesley Sierk III, Jina Panebianco, John D. Straley, David Haring, Roman Viaris, and David Sullivan are executive producing.
