The Rundown: Lily and Winter find a way to sneak alien in to see their grandfather in the hospital.
Lily and Winter are set to graduate and their parents are sitting in the stands waiting for Lily to give her valedictorian speech. Unfortunately, the kids are trying to disguise alien in order to sneak him into the hospital to see their grandfather and his friend Rose. At the same time, Frank and one of the orderlies sneak into TJ’s room to find the alien and come up empty.
As the kids learn more about Alien, Frank finds his attempts to expose the alien thwarted at every turn. In the end, the kids return home to face the music from their parents and to tell them some devastating news for their grandfather.
The Story: Soma continues to create an entertaining and thoughtful story in this issue. There are so many sweet moments with these characters and I continue to enjoy the low stakes of this series. There is great heart at the center of this story and I look forward to seeing where the story goes next.
The Art: Broglia delivers great art throughout the story. The character designs and visual style match the tone and mood of the story perfectly.
