The Rundown: Hal Jordan is possessed by an entity on the hunt for Jo Mullein.

Jo Mullein is missing and Hector Hammond and his men want to know why along with what the giant edifice in the middle of the desert is. Tracking the green energy, he hopes to determine where she is and retrieve the power she has been given. Within the barrier, Hal Jordan confronts the dying Abin Sur and ends him.

Unfortunately, Hal finds himself infected with the black energy inside Abin Sur and his twisted form goes after Jo. As the two battle throughout the desert, the edifice rises and moves before the pair find themselves inside it and in the presence of an unknown entity.

The Story: Ewing creates a thrilling, entertaining story in this issue. I love the worldbuilding in this series and how it is creating a new and dynamic view of the Green Lantern. I like the serious tone of the story and how it splits its focus between both Jo and Hal. The story has some great action, thrills and mystery throughout and I look forward to seeing what happens next.

The Art: Lindsay creates beautifully detailed and visually dynamic art throughout the issue. I like the visual style of the story and how compelling the action looks.
