The Rundown: Ryder and Fionn are forced to make a choice while Oaklynn chooses to save the boy she loves.

Ryder and Fionn are dangerously close to rescuing Oaklynn, but Fionn is injured and Ryder is left alone to fight off a giant monster standing between him and the forces that took Oaklynn. Ryder manages to fight off and kill the monster, but he and Fionn are forced to flee the area and hold up in a locked room with little chance to escape before they turn.
At the same time, both Ryder and Oaklynn think back on their relationship and the fury of the people holding her and she makes the decision to stay with them to protect Ryder. At the same time, both Ryder and Fionn have a showdown where only one may make it out alive.
The Story: Kaplan crafts a thrilling adventure throughout this issue. I love the suspense and tension throughout the story as well as the awesome action. The story does a great job of showcasing all of the characters and making their stories compelling both separately and together. I really enjoyed the final moments between Ryder and Fionn and cannot wait to see the fallout of that moment play out.
The Art: Raffaele creates some beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the monster designs.
