The Rundown: Cliff discovers the dangers of playing spy as well as a potential super weapon in the mountains.

After discovering that Betty’s co-star in the Nazi film they are attached to is also a spy, Cliff and Ballard find themselves trapped in the mountains by a Nazi patrol and Cliff’s rocket is stuck in a tree. The pair manage to find a way to escape and return to the hotel right before Betty is called by the director to begin filming. Cliff discovers that there are more spies on the set before a Nazi commander storms the area and shows the production just how dangerous the spy game can really be.
When the production is attacked by rebels, the Nazis go after them and Cliff has to strap on the rocket to give chase. This gives Ballard and Betty the opportunity to investigate the mountain where all of them discover a dangerous and deadly weapon hiding in the hills.
The Story: Hardman brings an immediacy and thrilling tone to the story in this issue. Things are happening quickly, but you still get moments of fun, thrills and adventure throughout the story. I like that this story has a darker, more dangerous tone and showcases the danger Betty and Cliff are in behind enemy lines. I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.
The Art: Kotz delivers stunning art throughout the issue. I love the visual style of this story and how it reminds me of classic comic book art from the period this story takes place in.
