The Rundown: Sophie and the others go in search of Callum who is given an offer from a familiar face.

Three members of the party have become Fallen and Sophie and the newest member Tommy find themselves facing off against Chuck and a very pissed off wolf. Sophie attempts to fight the creature and gets some assistance from Tommy which allows them all to escape to the sea where they find themselves at an inn and on Callum’s trail.

At the same time, the new ruler of Angria hears news of the return of the Dice and refuses to play a new game as another faction prepares for war and hopes to use the Dice for their own ends. Callum finds himself rescued at sea and a familiar face offers him his heart’s desire in exchange for his service.

The Story: Gillen continues to craft a brilliant, intense and entertaining story in this issue. I continue to love the direction this story is taking me as a reader and the twists and turns that are engaging me with both the characters and the world of the story. The world continues to be immersive and interesting in the characters, concept and execution. This is a world I love to come back to and I cannot wait to see where the story goes next.

The Art: Hans creates beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and how that style captures the tone and mood of the story and its characters.
