The Rundown: The family from the future gets some unexpected attention.

Someone is watching strange events across the country. Someone who is using their resources to track strange things happening right before the Rocketfeller family arrives from the future and tries to find a way to make their way through a past they do not understand.
After the loss of the family patriarch, the family tries to find ways to move forward as one of the kids works on finding a way to bring his father back. In the recent past, when the family was getting on their feet in the present, Roland begins an experiment that will get the attention of someone with vast resources and knowledge who is tracking a changing world around him.
The Story: Tomasi crafts a fun, engaging and entertaining prequel to the series that does an interesting job of tying this story together with others in this world. I like that the story takes a step back to show the initial moments the family comes to the past and what they do to survive and I love that there is a direct connection that will make their presence known to them. I look forward to seeing what that looks like.
The Art: Manapul creates beautifully detailed and visually exciting art throughout the issue. I continue to love the visual style of this series.
