The Rundown: A band of adventurers finds danger while raiding a tomb looking for treasure.

A band of adventurers makes their way to the town of Loudwater in Faerun where they end up in a battle against a small band of kobolds stealing food to survive. In the aftermath, the group’s leader Tessalynde finds herself facing a rival from her past. A rival whose group is considered heroes in the town as well as better than her in everything else.
Tessalynde and her group find themselves at a local tavern going over a special map that hides the location of a hidden treasure. After discovering the location, they move in and discover that they are not alone in the tomb. To make matters worse, an item from the tomb unlocks a bigger, more dangerous threat.
The Story: Pak creates a fun, funny and entertaining adventure in this first issue. I like seeing a new group with new and unique personalities working together and dealing with the politics around them as well as their own interpersonal issues. The story has some great character moments throughout as well as enough mystery, drama and fun to tempt me back to see what happens in the next issue.
The Art: Santos delivers beautiful art throughout the issue. I love the anime style of the action as well as the character designs.
